About Us

DJ Zo & DJ Barnes first met on a campus tour in South Korea. They were being inducted as part of a foreign language teaching program but unlike their overzealous eager-to-please counterparts they straggled at the back of the pack waiting for the real adventure to begin. With their headphones on they strayed from the others in their attempt to discover the unknown, all the while bonding over gnarly beats that made for jealous hearts.

From that moment on Zo & Barnes were noted as the rebels, the hooligans, the pranksters who went looking for trouble. This was never far from the truth either, for as the pair set out on their own tour they encountered many challenging feats that involved relentless night guards, extreme weather conditions and cryptic codes that led to strange new worlds.

Now that these two are well acquainted with the ways of the unexpected they take adventure into their own hands: they have become masters in the art of time travel and invisibility. While stationed in Daejeon - a sprawling metropolis in the centre of the Korean peninsula - Zo & Barnes routinely slip through gashes in the fabric of reality and travel to alternate lands. They swing from jungle vines in the unexplored depths of the Amazon whilst jaguars sleep merrily on adjacent branches. They run wild through the scents and smells of secret gardens hunting poisonous snakes and gorging on exotic fruit. They return to historic times and places, like San Fran in the mid-sixties and the egg-carton hills of Colombia during Bolivar’s ride for independence and liberation. They spend weeks in rural China living amongst Mongol warriors and practicing the flight patterns of rare eagles. They don the weary cloaks common to travelers of the like but leave no tracks or trails to be followed.

It is through these means that the pair can hold full-time employment in South Korea and still travel to Port Douglas weekly, for one hour, on Thursdays from 7-8pm. Zo & Barnes were last spotted with headphones on boarding a plane to Antarctica, but that was weeks ago, let’s face it, their whereabouts is unknown.
